West Village Home Theater

Architecture first. Cinema on cue.

A drop-down projection screen, concealed projector, and invisible audio transformed this West Village residence without leaving a room full of equipment behind. When inactive, the system recedes and the architecture resumes command.

The project is an early expression of a principle that continues through MODA’s work today: technology is one of our materials, not the subject.
