Client: Man Made Music

Role: Interior Architect & Acoustic Design
Location: New York

This studio represents an early collaboration between MODA and the late Fran Manzella (FM Design), establishing a shared approach to acoustic performance, spatial restraint, and material discipline.

While not fully decoupled, the space was designed with a strong emphasis on isolation, control, and internal acoustic clarity—balancing the constraints of an existing building with the demands of professional sound production.

In parallel with the acoustic strategy, the studio was conceived as a custom, brand-aligned environment for Man Made Music—expressed through proportion, materiality, and bespoke design elements rather than overt visual identity. Developed within a long-standing creative relationship spanning nearly two decades, the space reflects a deep understanding of the studio’s culture, process, and sonic point of view.
